You are articulate about
everyone else's life.
Completely mute about your own.

You are functioning. You show up. You've read the books, done the journalling, know your patterns. And still — something underneath is unresolved.

You feel more like a version of yourself than the real thing. Like you built an identity that works — that everyone around you recognises — and somewhere along the way forgot to ask if it's actually you.

This is not a motivation problem. It's not a mindset problem. It's a voice problem. And it can be undone.

The part of you that knows — that has always known — is still in there. She has just been buried under years of managing, adjusting, performing.

Words & The Work is how you get back to her.

The women who find their way
here usually say one of these.

"I know what I want to say. I just can't seem to say it."
"I've done so much work on myself. Why does something still feel off?"
"I keep starting things and stopping. Like I don't trust myself to finish."
"I want to create but I can't get out of my own way."
"I feel like a performance of myself. And I'm exhausted by it."

Actor. Poet. Writer.
Someone who has done
the work herself.

I spent years learning how to disappear into other people — on stage. It took me longer to realise I had been doing the same thing off it.

I'm a published poet, a working actor, and a qualified life coach. I've spent my life studying what it means to be human — what we perform, what we hide, and what it costs us. Words & The Work came from my own undoing — and remaking.

I hold the space. The writing does the work.

A 6-week container for creative women

Words
& The Work

90 minutes a week. 6 women. 6 weeks.
Sundays at 5pm BST · Starts 29th June 2026.

Not a course.
Not a workshop.
A live transmission.

Every week for six weeks, six women come together online for 90 minutes with me. There are no slides. No homework you'll dread. No performing yourself into something you think I want to see.

Each session opens with me — an introduction to the week's theme, the reason we're going there, and where I want you to be by the end. It's live, it's real, it's a direct transmission. Then we go in. Through writing prompts, honest journalling, and the kind of live coaching conversation most spaces are too polished to hold, you begin to dissolve the identity that no longer serves you and carve out who you're actually becoming.

You are witnessed. The group holds you. I hold the space.

You don't need to have the answers. That's the whole point. You just need 90 minutes a week to give yourself full permission to go all in on yourself.

Six weeks.
One arc.

Each week builds on the last. You arrive not knowing where you'll end up. That's the point.

01

Permission

We begin here: giving yourself full permission to show up without answers, without performance, without editing. I'll introduce the container, the why, and where you'll be by the end. You arrive exactly as you are.

02

Excavation

Who were you before the world got loud? We go back — through journalling and honest conversation — beneath the roles, the habits, the identity built for survival. She's still in there.

03

Name It

The things you've stopped saying. Through writing prompts, journalling and honest group conversation, we name — without shame — the specific ways you have silenced yourself. In your relationships, your creative life, your own head.

04

Dissolve

The identity that no longer serves you gets examined and gently released. What are you carrying that was never yours? What are you still doing out of habit, fear, or approval-seeking?

05

Rewrite

This is where it gets electric. You start living the new version — not planning to. Writing your future self, speaking it out loud, being witnessed doing it. The old story loses its grip.

06

Rebirth

You share. We witness. We celebrate. You leave this room knowing who you are, what you want to say, and that you are not alone in becoming her. This is the beginning, not the end.

You will leave as someone
you recognise.

You have found your voice again — and are actively using it in your work, your relationships, your creative life
You have shed the version of yourself that was built for other people and are living as who you actually are
You have a creative practice, a clear sense of self, and the courage to be seen in it
You are part of a small, honest community of women who have witnessed your becoming — and you theirs

This is for the woman
who has been very quiet
for a very long time.

Being seen in your mess — that's what this creates. A small, safe community to be witnessed as you figure it out. You don't need the answers now. That is the whole point.

About

I'm Ani.
Actor. Poet.
Writer.
The person you talk to
when you're ready to be honest.

Anisa Butt

I've spent my life in the study of being human — on stage, on the page, and in the room with people who are trying to figure out who they are.

I trained as an actor, which taught me how to disappear into other people with extraordinary precision. It took me years to understand I had been doing the same thing off stage — performing a version of myself that worked, that was legible, that kept everyone comfortable. Until it didn't work anymore.

The process of dismantling that — of asking who I actually was beneath the performance — is what became Words & The Work.

I know what it is to be articulate about everyone else's experience and completely mute about your own.

I started Unplug With Ani as a podcast — conversations with entrepreneurs and creatives about their journeys. Over time, I realised the most important conversation I needed to be having was the inward one. The podcast became a space for that. This container is the live version.

I'm a published poet — my debut collection HOPE is available on Amazon. I'm a working actor. I'm a qualified life coach. But more than any of that: I am someone who has done the messy, necessary, joyful work of figuring out who she actually is — and I want to hold that space for you.
